Why?

Some people asked me, why did you use Shopify to sell your stuff?

Why not just go through an established reselling website like eBay or Kijjiji?

It's very simple. I am not looking to sell these items. I am merely creating a store front to showcase what products I love and what products represent me, represent who I am.

If someone is interested they can definitely purchase the products offered in this store but I am also looking to inspire people and share my passions with the world.

With all the tools available to customize the store, add products, and simply just write, Shopify is the best choice for me

Lending a helping hand...

part·ner·ship (pärtnr-shp):A relationship between individuals or groups that is characterized by mutual cooperation and responsibility, as for the achievement of a specified goal.

There is no better feeling in the world than that of knowing you were able to make a difference in someone's life. Whether it was helping them carry their groceries to their car or showing them a whole new side of the world, the feeling of accomplishment and genuine happiness is all worth it!

This is what this blog post is about, helping people — and I am going to share a little story of mine.

Throughout my working career, I have always strived to help people.
As I quickly came to learn, the best way to help someone is to show them the best way to help themselves.

Let me elaborate a little further... WE, as People, are always given the WHAT.
This is what I do, these are the products/services I offer, here are their features. Are you interested?

WE, should be given the WHY.
This is why I do what I do, I just so happen to do it through these products or services. Are you interested?

When we can get people to understand why we do what we do, they relate. And when they relate then you've already made them fans. As a matter of fact you didn't do anything, they became your fans themselves.

A few years ago, I was helping my friend start a small business in Morocco — an event coordination business. As you may imagine, Morocco being a country that heavily relies on tourism and entertainment the even coordination industry is just a little crowded.
My friend reached out and ask "hey, do you have any tips on differentiating myself from other companies?"

I then shared with him the same concepts I shared with you previously, tell people WHY you do what you do and when they BELIEVE what you BELIEVE then the rest will align itself.
He went on to run an established event firm with a few other people that shared his belief that he was doing this to introduce new artists and events to the world — a partnership was born.

This train of thought revolutionized my world when I was taught it... I hope it has a little impact on yours :)

Cheers!
